Privacy policy

This explains what Landmark Digital collects when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

  • The free check: the business you pick, the search and town you check, and the results we find on Google Maps.
  • Your full report: your name, email address and, if you give it, your mobile number.
  • If you sign up: your name, contact details and business details. Payments are handled by PayPal; we never see your card details.
  • To stop misuse: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, so we can limit how many free checks one person runs. We can’t turn it back into your IP address.
  • How the site is used: which pages are viewed and buttons pressed, linked to a random ID that lasts only while your browser tab is open. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

  • To run your check and send you the report you asked for.
  • To provide the service if you sign up, and to bill you for it.
  • To keep the free check from being misused (our legitimate interest).
  • To follow up about our service, only if you tick the box to say we can. You can tell us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the service:

  • Supabase (our database) and Render (our web hosting)
  • Resend (sends our emails)
  • Google (business search) and DataForSEO (Google Maps rankings)
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (checks you’re not a bot)
  • PayPal (payments)
  • HighLevel (our customer records)

We never sell your details.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
